Where are we going?
空を舞うスズメとルリビタキ。
しかし、その美しい情景はストロベリームーンの存在によってかき消され、空はもはや鳥たちの安息の場ではなくなっています。朽ちゆく木は、鳥たちが安全にとまれる場所の欠如を象徴し、彼らは行き場を失い、運命は不確かなまま彷徨っています。
今日、ここに描かれた二つの鳥の種は、いずれも生息地の破壊によって脅かされています。どちらの個体数も、憂慮すべき速度で減少しています。
私はずっと鳥が好きで、スケッチや絵を描いてきました。この作品には、彼らの置かれた状況への深い悲しみと、彼らの住処が再び取り戻されることへの心からの願いを込めています。

What you see here are sparrows and red-flanked bluetails soaring through a beautiful sky. Yet, the presence of the Strawberry Moon overshadows the seemingly tranquil atmosphere. This scene represents a world in which the sky no longer offers birds sanctuary. The decaying tree symbolizes the dearth of safe perches for birds to alight, thus leaving them to wander aimlessly, their fate uncertain.
Today, the two species of birds depicted here are both being threatened by habitat destruction. The population of both is declining at an alarming rate.
I have always loved birds and have sketched and drawn them. With this piece, I wish to express my deep sorrow for their plight and a heartfelt wish for their homes to be restored.

死生観
私がこの鹿と初めて出逢ったとき神々しい姿に魅了されました。鹿は神々を乗せ時空を超え行き交うことができると伝えられてきました。 又曼珠沙華の花は葉を付けることなく咲く天界をイメージする花です。 このことを私は日本人の持つ『死生観』と言う題名で表しました。

When I first encountered this deer, I was captivated by its divine presence.
In ancient belief, this deer was said to carry the gods upon its back, traveling freely across time and space.
The red spider lily, which blooms without ever growing leaves, symbolizes the heavenly realm.
Through these elements, I expressed what we Japanese call our unique view of life and death — Shiseikan.

White peacock No.1
白孔雀は、光そのものが羽ばたきの形をとったような、清らかな存在に思えます。白という色は無垢でありながら、すべての色を内に秘めた完全性を象徴し、その羽根が静かに広がる瞬間、世界はひとつ深い呼吸をするように感じられます。
神聖さとは、遠く手の届かない崇高さではなく、“生きようとする力が純度を高めたときに現れる輝き”なのだと、白孔雀は教えてくれるようです。
ただそこに存在するだけで、周囲の空気を澄ませるような静かな力のようです。

The white peacock feels like a pure being, as if light itself has taken the shape of wings.White is a color of innocence, yet it symbolizes a completeness that holds every color within it.When its feathers open quietly, it feels as though the world takes a single, deep breath.
Holiness is not a distant, unreachable form of exaltation,but a radiance that appears when the will to live reaches its highest purityーand the white peacock seems to teach us exactly that.

Time
タイムトラベルとは、時間に開いた小さなトンネルを通り、好きな瞬間へ、好きな人と、好きな場所へ向かうための扉だと考えます。
その扉の先には、子どもの頃に息子と母と一緒に訪れたオーストラリアの空気や、笑い声が今も息づいている世界が広がっています。
時間はただ過ぎていくものではなく、いつでも選び直すことのできる思い出の地図でもあります。

I believe that time travel is a small tunnel opened within time itself,
a doorway that allows us to move freely toward the moments, people,and places we cherish.
Beyond that doorway lies a world where the air of Australiaー
which I once visited as a child with my son and my grandmotherー
still carries our laughter and remains vividly alive.
Time is not merely something that passes;
it is a map of memories we can choose to revisit whenever we wish.
